Coda was established in 1998 as a real estate development, architectural, and construction management firm. Back then, we were primarily in the residential market, but had began entering the mixed-use arena.
After the financial crash in 2009, we became more involved commercial real estate – and Coda Design + Build and Coda Management Group were born.
In the beginning, Coda Management Group was established to manage a portfolio of commercial assets. It began with multi-family, then commercial flex space, and eventually self-storage became the bulk of our portfolio.
In 2020, as a response to marketplace needs – we established One Stop Self Storage – our management arm for our storage facilities.

Scott KroneManaging Partner
Mr. Scott Krone is a Chicago Native whose career in architecture began in 1991 after pursuing a Master of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. In 2012 he co-founded Coda Management Group – a firm specializing in managing real estate assets. In 2018, SSSK Capital Fund was re-branded as Coda Management Group to compliment the design build firm Coda Design + Build – Mr. Krone founded Coda in 1998.
Martin TaradejnaDirector of Acquisitions & Investor Relations
Mr. Martin Taradejna is a Phoenix native who began his professional career as a real estate agent in Downtown Chicago. He acquired and repositioned his own portfolio of various real estate assets before joining Coda Management Group as the Director of Sales and Acquisitions in 2015. Since then, Mr. Taradejna has sourced upwards of $50 million assets for Coda Management Group and is the co-founder of One Stop Self Storage.
James LehmannDirector of Construction
Mr. James Lehmann began his professional career in Twenty-Nine Palms, CA as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. During his tours, he was an electrician and generator mechanic assigned to an engineer company. Before joining Coda Design + Build, he worked in residential real estate specializing in assisting distressed properties. As the Director of Construction he manages $7 to $10 million of both residential and commercial construction.
